Akagera National Park (sometimes mistakenly referred to as "Kagera National Park") is Rwanda's only savannah national park and one of East Africa's most inspiring conservation success stories. Located in eastern Rwanda along the Tanzania border, the park covers approximately 1,122 km² of rolling savannah, acacia woodlands, wetlands, lakes, and papyrus swamps, creating a diverse habitat for wildlife.
