Livingstone Island is a small island perched on the edge of Victoria Falls on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River. It is the spot from which the Scottish explorer David Livingstone first viewed Victoria Falls in 1855.
The island offers one of Africa's most extraordinary experiences, allowing visitors to stand at the very edge of the world's largest waterfall. During the dry season, adventurous travelers can also swim in the famous Devil's Pool, a natural rock pool located right on the lip of the falls.
